The Department of Health and Aged Care will be introducing strengthened Quality Standards with the commencement of the new Aged Care Act. The strengthened Quality Standards are designed to deliver a better aged care experience for aged care consumers.

The proposed new Aged Care Act will enable an aged care system that is sustainable, fair, and facilitates greater innovation. As part of the new legislation, strengthened Quality Standards will drive continuous improvement and high-quality care in the sector.
