PainChek Infant, the world’s first app using AI-enabled facial analysis to assess and monitor pain in babies aged 1-12 months, has partnered with CPR Kids, a Certified Social Enterprise dedicated to giving families and carers the skills to prevent, recognise and respond to childhood illness and injury.

As part of this collaboration, CPR Kids will conduct a clinical review of the PainChek Infant app, helping refine the app’s guidance so that families have clear, trustworthy support when caring for babies in pain.

Sarah Hunstead, Founder and Director of CPR Kids, said:

“At CPR Kids, we’re passionate about equipping parents and carers with the knowledge and confidence to care for their children. Working with PainChek Infant allows us to bring our clinical expertise to this pain assessment tool. We’re excited to contribute to the next phase of this important work.”

PainChek Infant helps parents and caregivers assess pain quickly and confidently when common causes of distress have been ruled out. The app makes it easy to identify pain, track treatment effectiveness and share accurate updates with healthcare providers – supporting better decisions for babies any time pain is suspected, including post-immunisation discomfort, teething or recovery after procedures.

Philip Daffas, CEO and Managing Director of PainChek, said:

“Partnering with CPR Kids is an important step toward ensuring that every aspect of PainChek Infant is supportive and practical for families. Together, we’re building on our vision of making infant pain visible, ensuring no child’s discomfort goes unnoticed or unsupported.”

The announcement aligns with Kids in Pain Week, which raises awareness of the importance of recognising and addressing pain in children, and reflects PainChek’s plans to expand its technology for older children in future.
