PainChek is pleased to confirm signing of a Marketplace Partner agreement with PointClickCare. The agreement gives PainChek a non-exclusive, worldwide, fully paid-up, royalty free right and licence to link directly with PointClickCare’s USA and Canadian customers.

PointClickCare is a leading care management system provider across USA and Canada, and this partnership will provide PainChek with access to integrate its pain assessment and monitoring application into the PointClickCare platform, providing a seamless transition of PainChek pain assessments into the Nursing Home’s resident information system. The desired goal is to fundamentally improve pain management outcomes, increase resident safety and reduce the overall cost of care.

The USA and Canada are priority growth markets for PainChek, combined having more than 17,000 nursing homes providing long term care across more than 1,900,000 beds. PointClickCare alone covers more than 10,000 nursing homes and 1,000,000 residents in the US and Canada. While the financial impact of the contract cannot be quantified at this time as PainChek has not yet commenced commercial sales in the region, the Company will report on progress with this partnership through the quarterly updates.

PainChek is targeting to complete the initial integration process during Q4 CY2022 enabling immediate access into the Canadian market, where the Company already has regulatory clearance. It is expecting USA market entry upon receipt of FDA de Novo clearance, currently targeted for Q4 CY2023.

PainChek will commercialize and directly sell the PainChek App to Nursing Homes in USA and Canada. PainChek will pay PointClickCare a monthly service fee for each nursing home that also accesses the integration capability with PointClickCare. The monthly service fee paid to PointClickCare is commensurate with the PainChek net revenue fees currently paid to PainChek’s existing integration partners in Australia and the UK.

PointClickCare will promote the PainChek integration capability to its nursing home clients in USA and Canada through its Marketplace Partner Program website and PainChek will be invited to meet PointClickCare’s clients face to face at their Marketplace Summit conferences.

The partnership agreement is a 14-month rolling agreement that automatically renews annually unless terminated by either party with provision for continuation of service for existing customers.

“We know from experience in the rollout across Australia, New Zealand and the UK to date, the importance of integration partnerships with local care management software providers is very significant. We are delighted to partner with PointClickCare, the leading provider in the North America market,”

says Philip Daffas CEO, PainChek.

“Together, our wider set of technology solutions will allow us to help improve pain management across PointClickCare’s clients.

“We are currently progressing pilot programs in Canada with a number of nursing homes leveraging our global digital capability. In parallel we are looking to build a direct commercial presence in North America to accelerate this significant new long term market opportunity.”
