Effectiveness of Nurse led Volunteer Support and Technology driven Pain Assessments

A recent publication co-authored by our Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Jeff Hughes, provides an overview of a study which used PainChek® in a hospital setting.

Outlined was the importance of effective pain assessment for older adults as part of the multicomponent of interventions for managing frailty.

A person’s ability to self-report pain is often used to gauge this assessment, and where this may be challenging in older patients, technology-driven pain assessments, such as PainChek®, offer support to improve any fluctuation in communication.
